The urban concept of the new borough relies on principles of the traditional city. Based on the valued public space of streets, parks and squares determined by city blocks, it guarantees of ‚well beeing‘ and safe place. That would be a space which is reasonably multifunctional in the same way as it is known not merely in the original Smíchov but also districts Vinohrady, Žižkov and Dejvice.

In such a context, the planning draws a connection with surrounding city block structures links all street axis. Equally, the housing height factor is in full harmony with their surroundings.  Views of Hradčany, Vyšehrad and other landmarks will accent in the Prague panorama.
At first sight, the proposal seems to be conservative in adhering to values of block planning, which founded an application of the principles 19th-century masterplan. A serious effort is a regeneration of this well-established model as well as strengthen its strengths and resolve all aspects where it fails. The advantages are universality and the dateless of the grid system. It set out a liberal environment with same rules and possibilities, simultaneously the capability to set up an intensity to achieve expected well-being, legibility and understandable in defining individual spaces. New pedestrian boulevard is the general urban space between new Smíchov Transport Interchange and new Na Knížecí Square. New boulevard had been composed such as linear city park situated with views towards Prague Castle and Saint Wenceslas Church.
