Graphic studio Side2 invited our studio to compete on a unified information system for Prague. The graphics approach was matter-of-fact, focused on substance, evolutionary rather than revolutionary, referring to the tradition of prague metro graphics. This direction has inspired us in creating the design of the family of spatial carriers. We tried the same matter-of-fact yet distinctive solution subconsciously and intuitively detectable in the visual smog of an urban environment. A solution that will defy general oversize and overgrowth by harnessing current technologies. A solution that is open and flexible enough to accommodate and integrate as many elements and technologies as possible. The foundation has become the definition of a simple frame into which graphics can be adjusted, complemented by other components such as backlight, illumination, time indicators, speakers, sensors, etc. The frame always has an overlap that creates the impression of a lightweight sublime structure. In fact, the main supporting and reinforcing frame structure is hidden beneath the graph.
