The apartment on the entrance floor of the villa house in the Villa Park Strahov of 60 m2 has been designed as an open living space with one bedroom and the facilities. The space of the building is oriented to the south north. In the north it ends in the front garden with a wooden stage and in the south it opens out into a magnificent bay window consoled over Prague. The concept is based on the fragmentation of the open space of the apartment by the blocks integrating the service and the facilities. The blocks are in a form of the compact furniture articles. They are regulating the energy flowing between the poles and creating the space gulfs, a sort of corners. Herewith the apartment is naturally divided into a social and intimate zone. The building space has been left in the roughness of the carcass. The walls and the ceiling are in the construction concrete. It was refined and backfilled on the selected places during the finishing work which resulted into a collage of the concrete structures creating a peculiar ornament. The floor is in the refined concrete backfilling. In the contrast to the concrete space frame the built-in blocks have been conceived like sophisticated instruments from exclusive materials with a fine texture. The exotic wood wenge of brilliant polish evokes the nobility of musical instruments. After entering the cores of the blocks will light up with a glass mosaic. The firm space relations are ready to manage the “raid” of other furnishings.
