In the context of developing trends of Prague is clear that Motol Valley has a supposal to transform its feature. Increasing pressure brings the requirements for a conversion of the Plzeňská street into the city boulevard. The purpose is a transformation of the transport corridor into focal points of public or private services, retail and culture points (CP).
The potential of the location can initiate the proposed transformation and continuing preparations.
A first issue sets out principles of street regeneration. A second and final issue sets out ambition, being functionally and operationally significant city axis.
The Motol Valley comes to the centre of well-being between the west part of Anděl and adjacent borough of Prague 5.
Plzeňská street approaches a shared space with public transport. Regeneration of Vrchlického street confirms the benefits of planned ‘green boulevard’ and connects parks into the local green axis and launches genesis of the new regional centres. With the motivational feature, it purports to be a multifunctional city zone. This renewed urban area would serve not merely for residents in an ongoingly sustainable way, and it can stand up in the broad context of Smíchov..., Prague.
The previous planning step ‘The participation’ had determined five fundamental issues (transport, development, a city, landscape and servicing facilities, visual value). The framework of the conclusions is solved in the study at all grades of the proposal. It begins from general strategy, goes through urban development rules and regulations in place, finalising with the detail of the significant public space.
