The summer house extends leisure opportunities in the garden of the retirement home. Principally, it provides a weatherproof shell. Subsequently, it strengthens the possibilities of the social and leisure activities of the retirement home. It is a place to gather and arrange celebrations, lectures, readings, and concerts, as well as a place to share gossip. Equally, it is a place of repose and relaxation in the form of reading the news. The proposal combines a variety of spaces in comparison with the other summer houses. Preferentially, the capability to reflect different expectations. It is a place for everyone who is more likely an introvert as well as for that one who can interact socially.
The freely shaped supports - ‘walls’ sit below a floating oviform deck roof. The walls are transparent and predetermine more opportunities for fixing various motives and needs.
The covering of the steel mesh is partly made up of climbing plants. Climbing roses find a place here as well as hop, bean, blackberries at the other corners. The diverse ‘walls’ are the main motive which presents variety during days and seasons... casting a shadow over, contains shelves for books, noticeboard, newspaper holder, folding bench and tables, portable flowerpots, portable lighting system... The full-grown tree generates a comfortable local climate and finalizes the form of architectural composition.
