On the land around the flooded quarry in Posázaví, a set of small buildings is gradually being built to complement the project on the edge of the quarry. The investor decided to build his own alternative school for his children and the children of the neighbourhood. He has added spaces for his wife's activities; a workshop, a Chinese medicine practice and a yoga space. The search for a place where the school would not interfere with family life and would have some autonomy resulted in the decision to remove an historic rubble dump and place the school there. The integration of the building is completed by the extension of the green meadow in front of the family house onto the roof of the school. Externally, the school presents itself only with an undulating, fully-glazed façade with subtle detailing accentuating the terrain break. The building is used all day. In the mornings, the building operates as a small-group homeschool and Chinese medicine clinic. In the afternoon, a space for exercise and yoga. The main space of the 25x10m school is divided by glass partitions and furniture walls. The layout is illuminated and brightened by two more atriums. The construction is made as a white tub of waterproof concrete combined with steel columns. The façade consists of frameless glazing. The materials are used in their pure form and natural colours. The house is heated by floor heating with an electric boiler, it is connected to the domestic sewage treatment plant. The property was built in a 'do-it-yourself' way with minimal input from professional builders.
